How many triangles/polys is this game pushing at most?  It eats up 90% of my  CPU cores/threads (Kabylake Pentium processor) even in a 640x480 window with all effects disabled, in HaikuOS.  Yet Nanosaur only uses up about 25%, but Pangea Software doesn't remember how many polys his game pushes.  

What is the difference, if any, between the open source version and the one here on Itch.io ? I plan on buying this regardless to support you but was curious which one is more up to date.

both of them are the same, however the steam version has mods

Oddly, this one says it's updated more recently than the Open Source version, but I can't think what would have updated.
